Welcome to Bustard Flying Club
Wednesday, July 26 2017 @ 11:49 BST

Welcome!

Welcome to the Bustard Flying Club website. You'll need to login to access the majority of the content; this is restricted to club members only. While e-allocator remains the system for booking aircraft and messaging, this website is the ideal place for sharing information on the 2 club aircraft, articles you may care to write (how to start the Robin!), stories you may care to divulge, or maybe share internet links. We have many varied experiences between us, let's share them... There's even a calendar for fly-outs, airshows, AGMs and so on.

Anyone can 'contribute' an article or post a comment (and please do), but you'll need to login.

Any queries, email Wayne Collier: webmaster 'at' bustardflyingclub.co.uk.

or go to the Red Arrows Website
We are aware that the RAF Aerobatic team expect to display at the following sites in the UK on the dates given. Restriction of Flying Orders are likely to be issued for these and probably others which have not yet been finalised, but all will be promulgated by Mauve AIC and NOTAM closer to the time, and reminders will be broadcast on the NATS AIS Freephone number: 0500 354802, 08085 354802,  or on +44(0)1489 887515 on the day.
Between displays, the team may also carry out flypasts at various venues. These, while not subject to formal restrictions, might be considered places to avoid around the time of the flypast, and will also be advised by NOTAM. See also Flyontrack

The Bustard Flying Club

The Bustard Flying Club exists to stimulate air-mindedness and to encourage a practical interest in and knowledge of flying among the staff at MoD Boscombe Down and other eligible personnel linked to the MoD and QinetiQ.

The Club owns two aircraft (Robin DR400-140 - G-PVCV and Slingsby T-67M MkII Firefly - G-BUUI) which are available for hire by Club members; the Club also provides training to the Private Pilot's Licence (PPL) standard. Some Club members operate their own aircraft under the auspice of the Club and this allows the Club to support significantly more flying than could be achieved with just the two aircraft. The Club has some eighty members, and is administered by a Committee which is elected annually.
