CAA announces new PPL syllabus and considering removal of PPL medicals

In the latest move to make the regulation of the UK’s General Aviation (GA) sector more proportionate and evidence-based, the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announced a new training syllabus for pilots and proposed changes to some private pilot medical requirements.

New European Regulations for the conduct of pilot training for European pilot licences and the attached ratings and certificates became effective in April 2012.  These requirements are incorporated within Commission Regulation (the "EASA Aircrew Regulation").

Watchkeeper's first UK flight took place on Wednesday 14 April 2010 from West Wales Airport in Wales.

In October 2010, the contract was extended by a further 18 months, and the delivery date slipped from February 2011 to toward the end of 2011.
